New guest- Brown-headed Cowbird

No idea what kind of bird this is so I contacted whatbird.com to find out. Several people got back to me right away and all verified the same thing. It is a brown headed Cowbird. I have never seen them in the yard before. They are eating a general seed for songbirds. This is very interesting fact I did not know that the cowbird deposits her eggs in other birds nests. She removes one of theirs and adds her own. Sometimes the eggs are not even the same color! Some birds reject the new egg and others do not. This bird apparently is short on time and cannot afford to nest herself. The nestling/fledgling sometimes becomes much bigger than the parents feeding it which is an odd site, not to mention they may not look anything alike
