gray catbird

Even though I am not pleased with the quality of this picture, I have to share it because the catbird is very sneaky and I have been trying forever to photograph him/her. It is not easy. One day I will get a good shot as they become more accustomed to me stalking them. They get to the feeders but the cardinals are dominant and don't like them there, although they are somewhat tolerant. The catbird is not a enemy...they just are not crazy about sharing their food with them. Called a catbird because of their meow sound. This is the prettiest bird in my garden. It is slate gray, red in tail underside, and darker gray just on the top of the head. A shame I can't get a good pic.
