Common Gallinule swimming through water lily pads

I was happy to stumble upon this little guy at Summerport too. Walked right over those water lillies for me with his green legs and feet.

Common Gallinule like to hang out in the smaller Derexa pond where it has more foliage and swamp like. I think they have a nest here as they spend quite a bit of time around this area.

It was bobbing it's head a lot and not quacking like a duck but making sweet noises, and that's because I have learned it isn't a duck at all. All alone, no mate. Cutie pie.
