This is why mama's neck is discolored and skin is thick and calloused on her neck. Years of this breeding ritual. She is on her own planter (her home and territory). Mama makes the trip clear across the deck to deposit her eggs. Lizards do not drop eggs in their territory from what I witnessed. Smart to keep the food supply all their own.
