baby cardinals foraging on own

The baby cardinals are foraging on their own, eating out of the feeders and looking for protein in the yard. They are proficient in most of the feeder styles but are clumsy entering a couple of them. They are seen honing their flying skills darting around the backyard obstacles. They investigate everything just like a toddler putting things they shouldn't into their mouths. Feeding by the parents has reduced drastically. Papa has started getting irritated and snappy with at least one of them chasing him away from the feeders at times, and out of the yard. The babies are together during most of the day, but bicker occasionally. Mama is still around but not as much. Papa is around more. All signs that soon the babes will be pushed out of this territory. These shots were all taken yesterday.
