mama cardinal with lunch

Not sure what mama cardinal has in her mouth! I don't think I want to know. Staring at too long I even can see an eye at this point, probably seeing things. She sat in the red crape myrtle for some time with it clutched in her jaws.These pics are taken through my front porch window.
